Overview
This article provides a resolution related to alert emails received from EventsManager do not contain event-related details in the body of the message.
Alert emails affected by this issue will often contain appropriate information in the email subject and may also contain the 'To avoid receiving large quantities of emails...' disclaimer in the body of the message. However, the event/alert details normally found in the alert messages (above the disclaimer) may be missing or may just show %description id%
.

Resolution
GFI has released a patch for this issue. Download the patch.
Please follow the steps below to apply the patch:
- Close GFI EventsManager Management Console and stop GFI EventsManager, GFI EventsManager Monitor, and GFI Database Server 2.0 services.
- Extract the files EvtExtractor.dll, EvtMgrs.dll, Logic.dll and VstExtractor.dll in the EventsManager install folder (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\GFI\EventsManager2013), overwriting the existing ones. Note: Back up the existing files first.
- Start the GFI Database Server 2.0, GFI EventsManager Monitor and GFI EventsManager services.
- Start the GFI EventsManager Management Console when needed. This fix will be included in the release of EventsManager (ESM) 2013 once released.
