Overview
In rare occasions, an upgrade of GFI EventsManager may be performed and the previously used configurations are not found in the interface after the upgrade.
Environment
- GFI EventsManager 2013
- GFI EventsManager 2012
- GFI EventsManager 2011
- GFI EventsManager 2010
- All Supported Environments
Root Cause
During the upgrade process, variables external to GFI may have interfered with any conversions. At times, Antivirus programs may interfere with the upgrade process, so be sure to set the correct Antivirus exclusions if they are not already set.
Resolution
If settings were manually exported before upgrading:
- Locate the previously exported configurations from GFI EventsManager.
- Within the GFI EventsManager console, select File, then Import and Export Configurations...
- Navigate through the wizard to import your previously exported settings.
If settings were not exported before upgrading:
- Stop the GFI EventsManager service and close the GFI EventsManager configuration.
- Navigate to the installation directory for GFI EventsManager. The default install path is: ...Program Files\GFI\EventsManager.
- NOTE: If GFI EventsManager is installed on a 64-bit Operating System, the default path is: ...Program Files (x86)\GFI\EventsManager
