Overview
GFI EventsManager processes each event starting from the first Processing Rule in the first Rule set within the first Folder and proceeding in order through each Event Processing Rule from top to bottom, until a processing rule which applies to the event is encountered or until the last Processing Rule is reached.
Therefore, the higher the Processing Rule is, the higher the priority of the rule.
This article provides different methods on how to change the priority of the Processing Rules.
Process
The Folder\Rule Set\Event Processing Rule priorities can be changed using one of the following methods:
Method 1
- Right-click on the Folder\Rule Set\Event Processing Rule.
- From the menu, select Increase priority or Decrease priority depending on your requirements.
Method 2
- Click on the Folder\Rule Set\Event Processing Rule.
- On your keyboard, press the <Ctrl>+<up arrow> keys to increase the priority and <Ctrl>+<down arrow> keys to decrease priority.
