GFI EventsManager licensing is tied to the Operating System(s) in question. Depending on the OS, a respective license seat is consumed.
- If the OS is Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, a workstation license seat is consumed and only Windows Events can be collected.
- If the OS is Windows Server 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008/2008 R2 or any network device (such as switch or router), a server license seat is consumed, regardless of the type of logs you collect.
