Overview
This article provides a step-by-step process on creating a new database in GFI EventsManager.
Process
To create a new backend database in GFI EventsManager version 2012, please do the following:
- Open the GFI EventsManager Console and navigate to Configuration > Options > File Storage.
- Click Configuration File Storage.
- Change the Name and Path of the database to reflect the new database you wish to start.
- Check the Encryption option and password if you wish to encrypt the new database (optional).
- Click Apply and OK.
The new database will now be created and all new events will be stored to the new location.
To create a new backend database in GFI EventsManager version 2013, please do the following:
- Open the GFI EventsManager Console and navigate to Configuration > Options > File Storage.
- Click Configure File Storage.
- Create a New folder. Choose the location and then click OK.
- Click the New button and choose a name for the new database.
- Click OK to create.
